Junior League of the Space Coast (formerly Junior League of South Brevard) accepts new members in the fall of each year and our application period is open from June to the beginning of September. When new members apply, they are invited to join a new member class that provides them with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in JLSC’s current community goals.

When is the application window for this year?

The application window for the 2023-2024 New Member Class is open until September 1, 2023

What are the eligibility requirements to become a member?
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be a current resident of Brevard County
  • Must be interested in volunteerism, have a commitment to community service and must be concerned with improving the quality of life in the Space Coast
  • Must fulfill the required annual League Active dues of $160* at the start of your year as a new active member *Subject to change.
  • Must complete the provisional year requirements as outlined in the New Active Course Booklet, reviewed in detail New Member Kickoff Meeting
What kind of time and financial commitments can I expect as a member?

Members of The Junior League of the Space Coast have responsibilities based on their years of service.

  • Annual Dues – Every member pays an annual fee to maintain her membership. Dues are used to fund League administrative expenses. ($160 for New Members, $135 for Active Members, and $110 for Sustainer Dues)
  • League Job – After new member’s provisional year, all Active members are required to hold a League job, or placement. Every year, members choose from different roles across all areas of the League.

Additional Opportunities:

  • Training & Volunteer Opportunities – Members can choose from a variety of training and volunteer opportunities throughout the year (virtual and in-person).
  • Fundraising Support – Members are asked to support the League’s fundraising events throughout the year, which raise funds for our mission-based programs.
 I am not able to join The Junior League of of the Space Coast (JLSC) now but am interested in joining in the future. What should I do?

I am a transgender woman. Can I join The Junior League of The Space Coast?

Yes, The Junior League of the Space Coast, Inc. welcomes all those who live and identify as a woman to apply for membership.

AJLI

The Junior League of the Space Coast is part the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). As part of this network, our members can take their membership beyond Brevard County.

Transfer Members who leave the Space Coast area can transfer their membership to over 200 other Junior Leagues.

Connection AJLI provides members to build connections beyond their local League with in person and virtual opportunities for personal and organizational development.

Expanded Training Association-wide training opportunities bring together some of the world’s best speakers and leaders.
